If you're planning on being outdoors this Memorial Day, you may want to think again.

Heat indices will reach as high as 108° on Monday as the summer heat wave ramps into full gear. Actual air temperatures will reach the lower 90s. All of that has led the National Weather Service to issue a heat advisory for Southeast Louisiana until 8 p.m.

The high heat and humidity will stick around through tomorrow. We'll get some minor relief later in the week when air temperatures dip below the 90° mark, but high humidity will keep heat indices near the triple digits.
