We are in for a lot of rainfall, with a system of thunderstorms pushing this way.
"It looks like the first wave moves in tonight after sunset into the overnight hours," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexandra Cranford.
Alexandra says a flood watch begins at 7 p.m.
"And it stays in effect until Thursday evening," she said. "We're looking for about three to six inches of rain over the course of the next few days. A few spots could get more than that."
