The forecast is rather wet the rest of this week, before we get a cold front for the weekend.

"Heavy rain could lead to isolated street flooding," WWL TV Meteorologist Alexa Trischler forecasts. "Several inches of rain accumulation is possible areawide."

The moisture is coming from an area of disturbed weather on the Gulf of Mexico that is not expected to develop into anything more threatening.

"The unsettled weather will be pushed aside this weekend with am incoming cold front," Trischler said.

She expects morning lows in the 60s on the Northshore and low 70s south of the lake this weekend. With highs in the 80s, feeling like the 80s with lower humidity.
