Hot, humid conditions persist with slight chance of rain

That heat dome over the southeastern United States is expected to hold, keeping Hurricane Beryl away from the Louisiana Gulf Coast and keeping hot and humid conditions over Louisiana.

The chance of rain is higher today than it's been in the last few days, standing at 40 percent. After today, rain chances go away until Tuesday, when we'll have a 40- to 50-percent chance of scattered showers.


Temperatures for the next seven days will remain in the 95-degree range with heat indices well into the triple digits.
