Reports are coming in of hail the size of tennis balls in several spots and even larger last night in Lafourche Parish.
In the Kraemer area, pictures show massive balls of ice that fell from the sky.
Another woman told WWL TV that is sounded like gunfire as the hail slammed into vehicles, homes and buildings.
"It was a loud, loud noise! I was so nervous. I was so scared."
She said she took cover and called her husband crying.
