Heat and humidity will stick around through Monday.
Temperatures in Southeast Louisiana will rise into the mid- and upper-90s with heat indices going well above the 100° mark. In addition, there's a chance that you'll see more pop-up showers and thunderstorms. Rain chances on Saturday are only 20 percent, but those rain chances increase to around 40 percent by Monday.
The good news is that the humidity will push out of the region as early as Tuesday, bringing more comfortable conditions. However, it will still be hot, as our daily highs will settle around 95° in the latter half of the week.
Louisiana is facing no tropical threats, and according to the National Hurricane Center, there are no disturbances in the Atlantic Basin with the exception of Hurricane Ernesto, which is over Bermuda as of Saturday morning.
