Rain remains in the forecast all this week, but rain chances diminish slightly as we head towards the weekend.
Both today and tomorrow, expect another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Some of those storms will drop significant rainfall. As we saw on Sunday, some of you will see rain earlier than others, while some of you may not see any rain at all. That's the joy of summer weather in Louisiana. Highs today will hover around the 90° mark.
Rain chances dip slightly to between 40 and 50 percent for the rest of the week and for the weekend, with the heat and humidity holding steady. High temperatures through Sunday are expected to sit in the low-90s.
Heat indices will get into the triple digits, so make sure you hydrate if you plan on being outside, that is, if conditions are fair enough to allow for outdoor activities.
