Father's Day weekend starts off hot and muggy.
"Expect a hot and muggy rest of your Friday, with a couple of hit-or-miss showers and storms possible," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexa Trischler.
Alexa says rain is more likely on the Northshore than south of the lake.
Saturday will be hot, but thunderstorms are in the forecast, and with all the rain earlier this week, be on the lookout for rising water.
"This weekend, we are going to see a few more scattered storms on Saturday, later in the day throughout the afternoon and evening," Alexa said. "There could be some heavy downpours tomorrow and some localized flooding concerns, especially since the ground is already so saturated."
