Soak up the sun today, and prepare to get soaked Saturday.
"Expect another sunny day today with temperatures in the 60s," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts. "We will see clouds roll in Thursday before more sun returns Friday."
He says high temperatures will be in the 60s.
"All attention turns to the threat for rain and gusty winds Saturday. Timing of the rain Saturday is most likely coming during the evening hours. However, earlier parades should monitor the forecast closely for any changes. We are still days away and timing can always change this far out."
Malone says we could see locally heavy downpours along with gusty winds Saturday evening.
Officials are looking at options for postponing or canceling parades if conditions look dangerous. Decisions are usually made the day before or morning of parades.
