We get a break from the oppressive heat in the forecast, with just regular heat.
"Our humidity has dropped after a weak cool front," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexandra Cranford. "It's not that huge a difference but I think we can definitely notice it through tonight and into tomorrow."
Tonight's lows will be in the upper 70s south of the lake, and in the low 70s on the Northshore, maybe even the 60s in some areas farther north of the lake.
Humidity creeps back into the forecast for Thursday.
