This week's weather comes with the first showers since early September.
No rain today, though.
"Wall to wall sunshine and today's highs reaching the lower 80s this afternoon," WWL TV Meteorologist Michelle Morgan forecasts. "Our dry weather pattern changes on Wednesday due to Gulf moisture moving into the area increasing rain chances."
She says the region could see precipitation through Wednesday and into Thursday morning. The last rain, Morgan says, fell on Sept. 8th in Southeast Louisiana.
"Then a cold front moves through sometime on Thursday bringing drier and less humid air Friday and through the weekend."
Meanwhile there is nothing in the Tropics that Louisiana needs to worry about.
