It is a sunny and hot Saturday this holiday weekend.

"It will be very of hot but a tad less humid," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexa Trischler. "High temperatures this afternoon will climb into the mid 90s."

Despite the slightly lower humidity, Alexa said heat indices on Saturday will make the temperatures feel like triple-digits.

There is only a small chance of isolated showers on Saturday afternoon.

Sunday should be more humid, and rain chances will increase to 30 percent.
