Severe weather has passed but more to come Friday night

The severe storm system that swept through the metro area Thursday morning has passed but expect more storms to return Friday night into Saturday morning.

WWLTV’s Payton Malone says, “Strong storms moved through the area Thursday morning, bringing with them several tornado and flood warnings. A flash flood warning was issued for Orleans, Jefferson and St. Charles until 6:45 a.m., but the risk seemed to be mostly over before 5:30 a.m.”
