The metro area will likely experience rain and some possible thunderstorms overnight Thursday and early Friday morning.
"Expect some rain and storms to happen overnight between the hours of 2 a.m. and around 7 a.m., especially north of the lake," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexa Trischler. "We'll see another round of rain and storms coming in Friday."
That next round of storms is likely in the afternoon, lasting into Saturday morning.
