The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Depression Three is way out in the Atlantic Ocean.
It is forecast to get stronger as it moves west.
"Some strengthening is forecast, and the depression is forecast to become a hurricane in a few days," according to the Hurricane Center advisory.
Maximum sustained winds were near 35 mph with higher gusts this morning.
"On the forecast track, the system should be approaching the Lesser Antilles late this week."

The track brings the center of what is expected to be a hurricane south of Puerto Rico over the next five days.
WWL TV Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford says uncertainty with the forecast is high, and we have time to see what happens over the next several days.
"Right now it is not a threat to our area at all," she said. "We will continue to track it."
