Get ready for the weather to feel more like September than November.
"The warm up continues this week with highs approaching 80 degrees through the next seven days. You'll also notice humidity increasing each day," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts. "It looks to stay dry through Friday, but this weekend we'll need to watch for t-storms."
He says a cold front will approach the area Saturday and bring showers and thunder storms to the area.
"While the exact timing can't be determined this far out, it looks like the most likely time to see rain is morning and early afternoon Saturday. A few strong storms are possible, so we'll need to watch for that too."
Malone says that by Saturday evening things should begin to wind down.
Unfortunately, the front will not bring cooler or drier conditions.
"The cold front won't push through, so don't expect any cool down into next week. We stay near 80 degrees with a few showers possible each day."
