The weekend will be pleasant, but it will also start warming up and getting a little more humid.
"Temperatures climb out of the 40s and 50s to 70s by this afternoon on both sides of Lake Pontchartrain," said WWL-TV meteorologist Brooke Laizer. "We'll continue with minimal rain chances into the early part of this coming week."
Brooke said another cool front comes early in the week, bringing rain. That will be followed later in the week by an even stronger cold front.
"That's when it will start to feel a bit more winter-like than anything," she said.
