Traditional Chicago River Dye
Chicago Plumbers Local 130 will dye the Chicago River emerald green using an eco-friendly additive at 10:00 a.m. Best views from Upper Wacker Drive between State and Columbus. Please note: the lower Riverwalk will be closed, but spectators can watch from Upper Wacker Drive and the many bridges spanning the Chicago River. All stairwells leading to the Riverwalk will be closed per the City of Chicago.
70th Annual Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade
The 70th Annual Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at Columbus and Balbo at noon and marches north to Monroe. Entry to the parade route opens at 11am and will only be permitted at Jackson Avenue and Ida B. Wells (formerly Congress Blvd.) Go to chicagostpatricksdayparade.org for more information on parking/transportation, to purchase parade merchandise or make donations to the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.

2025 Southside Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade
The Southside Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade steps off at West 103rd Street and South Western Avenue at 12 p.m. and marches south to West 115th Street and South Western Avenue. The parade is expected to last approximately two hours.
Northwest Side Irish Parade
Come enjoy this fun community event that has been celebrating friends, family, and Irish heritage for more than 20 years. The Northwest Side Irish Parade kicks off at noon on Sunday, March 16, 2025 and winds through the Norwood Park neighborhood, beginning at William J. Onahan School.
