No, they're not wizards who found a way to embed music into a piece of paper. Fans of Arcade Fire have been receiving postcards from the band that says, "We missed you," along with a few bars of musical notation, as you can see in the post below.
A fan on Reddit posted a picture of the postcard which also shows a new iteration of the group's "eye" logo, saying they “received this in post today... Black box covering my address. Logo at the bottom looks like the band… Anyone else received one?” Apparently, others have indeed gotten the communique, and one person even went as far as recording and posting the tune for us to hear on Soundcloud. Finally, adding to the hype, stickers have also been popping up in public featuring the logo that is seen on the postcards, so obviously, there's something interesting on the way.

If true, a new full-length release would arrive as Arcade Fire’s sixth studio album, their last being 2017’s Everything Now. Of course, the band did record a 45-minute track for the Headspace meditation and sleep app, so that's kind of an album. Either way, frontman Win Butler told Rick Rubin on his Broken Record podcast back in October of 2020 that he had written "two or three" Arcade Fire albums during the COVID pandemic, so keep your ears and eyes peeled for a whole lot more.
