BARRINGTON HILLS (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A Barrington Hills woman is facing several felony charges after she allegedly bit off her adult daughter’s pinky finger.

62-year-old Tierni Micek has been charged with four separate counts of aggravated battery stemming from the Nov. 12 domestic incident, the Lake County State’s Attorney announced.

According to Barrington Hills police, officers responded to the home on a domestic disturbance call. When officers arrived, they were confronted by Micek’s daughter, who said she and her mother got into an argument and that her mother became combative, tackling her to the ground. A witness told police Micek struck her daughter in the face before bringing her to the ground. It was then, the witness said, while trying to break up the fight, that Miceck bit him and her daughter’s finger off.

Police said Micek managed to bite off about two-thirds of her daughter's pinky finger off. Officers on scene recovered the finger and turned it over to paramedics. The Lake County State’s Attorney Office said they also discovered blood on Miceck’s shirt as well as near the fireplace, where the alleged incident occurred.

Micek was soon thereafter arrested and transported to the Lake County Jail. Her bond was set at $100,000 by a Lake County judge, and she was released after posting $10,000 cash bail.

Micek has been court ordered to have no contact with the victim or witnesses. Her next court appearance is slated for Tuesday.
