(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — If you’re looking for a seasonal job, beware of employment scams that could put a chill in your holiday spirit.
Employment scams are heartbreaking, and they’re even worse when they ruin your holidays, too.
Beware of fake, too-good-to-be-true opportunities, and always do your homework before handing over vital personal and banking information to would-be employers.
Be leery of instant job offers that promise big money for minimal skills, and with little to no interviews.
Look out for job scams that ask you to make a payment up front, or those that pretend to overpay and then tell you to return the difference. When the checks bounce, you’ve lost your time, money, and personal information.
