(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Newly released body-cam video and other materials are helping fill in what led to a shooting by Chicago police in the Old Town neighborhood a little more than a month ago.
In October, Dispatchers received a 911 call from a woman reporting there were weapons in the car she was traveling in.
Officers caught up with the car in a parking lot on West Division Street.
Footage released Wednesday by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability appears to show the driver flee the stop after officers gave multiple verbal commands for everyone inside to exit the car.
That's when officers fired shots.
Video below shows the incident. Warning: Video contains graphic language.
No one was injured. A person of interest was taken into custody shortly after the shooting.
