14-year-old boy shot and killed on SW Side, police say

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are investigating the deadly shooting of a teenager in Little Village.

The call came into the police just before 10: 30 p.m. Monday night. A person shot at an apartment building at 22nd and Christiana. Officers found a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Paramedics began life-saving measures and transported him to Stroger where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives are investigating. No one in custody.
