Our PAWS Chicago pet of the week is a proud older girl with a big heart, and is appropriately named Proud Heart. She is 10 years-old and is one of the most gentle cats the staff at PAWS can remember.
Because she has spent time in a foster home recently, PAWS knows a few things about her. She loves to be scratched behind her ears, she will nuzzle up to your legs the second you get out of bed, and she gets a case of the Zoomies every night after dinner. If you don't have a cat right now and need a kind gentle snuggle buddy, Proud Heart might be for you.

Proud Heart is part of a very special year-end adoption event, PAWS Chicago's "New Year, New Friend" special. Now through Jan. 6, PAWS has waived adoption fees on dozens of pets, including Proud Heart, most of whom have been in foster care and haven't spent much time at their Lincoln Park Adoption Center. If you want to meet Proud Heart, log onto pawschicago.org to see who is available, take their comPETibility survey and to make an appointment to meet your new best friend.
