Chicago to host two top Premier League matchups this summer

Soldier Field will host a different form of football this summer, as Chicago will play host to some of the Premier League’s top teams.

As part of the Premier League Summer Series, the excitement will kick off on Wednesday, July 30, when Everton faces West Ham United before Manchester United takes on AFC Bournemouth in a doubleheader.

Fans eager to grab tickets can sign up for presale access starting Thursday, March 13, with general sales opening the next day, March 14. Tickets start at $77 and offer fans a chance to see all four teams.

In a press release, the league shared that in an attempt to give American fans the chance to see its top teams, nearly 25% of all tickets for the tournament are being priced below $100.

“We are delighted to be bringing the Premier League Summer Series back to the United States. We know from our previous tournament and Premier League Mornings Live events that we and our clubs have incredibly loyal and passionate fans in the US who get up early to follow their teams during the season,” Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters said in the release.

Along with Chicago, games will also be played in New Jersey on July 26 at MetLife Stadium and in Atlanta on Aug. 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
