
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The city of Chicago has placed a job listing for an inspector general to oversee public safety agencies in city government.
The city Deputy Inspector General for Public Safety would oversee the Chicago Police Department and the Chicago Police Board and the Civilian Office of Police Accountability.
The city’s Inspector General’s Office tweeted the job opening yesterday and said it was a national search.
The city is seeking an attorney or someone with extensive governmental investigations experience. The position has been vacant for a few months. The starting pay is more than $146, 000.
