(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — An IT worker for Kendall County is out of a job and faces criminal charges.

The Kendall County sheriff’s office launched an investigation in early September and put Technology Services employee Darryl Kollins on unpaid leave for unauthorized use of county assets.

The sheriff’s office said Kollins went on the county’s secured network for personal use while off-duty.

The 49-year-old Yorkville man was fired a month ago and now faces felony counts of official misconduct and computer tampering charges.
