CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Businesses in Lincoln Park sent spooky season out with a bang over the weekend, as many opened their doors to trick or treaters as part of the 2023 Lincoln Park Spooktacular.
On Saturday along Lincoln Avenue — from Wrightwood to Webster Avenues — was bustling with kids in costumes who wandered from business to business to get candy and treats. Hundreds of people gathered at the Lincoln Common plaza, which was the heart of the Lincoln Park Spooktacular.
The plaza was full of dancing kids, magicians, face painting, a 360-degree camera and several businesses that were giving out prizes and sweet treats. The dog-friendly event even featured a costume contest hosted by Scout Veterinary Care.
For those who missed it on Saturday, Clark Street businesses will be open to trick or treating on Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m. between Diversey Parkway and Armitage Avenue.
Sunday's participating businesses include: XO Marshmallow, Sushi Hall, Big Apple Finer Foods, Tin Lizzie, and Casati's Modern Italian. A full list and map are available on the Spooktacular website.
Attendees will also be able to participate in a photo contest. To enter, follow and tag @lincolnparkchamber on Instagram or use #Spooktacular2023 in a post. The winners, who will receive $50 gift cards from participating businesses, will be announced on the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce Instagram stories on Halloween.
