MATTESON (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A suspect has been charged after a fight between two roommates led to a double homicide in suburban Matteson.
34-year-old Kephren Ferguson is charged with the murders of a 20-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy from Chicago.
Police responded to a report of gunfire Thursday night in an apartment building on Lindenwood Drive. The victims were found shot in the chest, both were taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Matteson Police said the victims were the siblings of one of two women who live together. A fight took place between the two roommates. Ferguson was identified as the boyfriend of one of the women.
A SWAT Team arrested Ferguson at his home in Hammond, Indiana.
He is being charged with two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
