Metallica’s 2024 touchdown at Soldier Field was an absolute blast. The band didn’t just show up; they blew the metaphorical roof off the place.

This was part of their M72 World Tour, and they made sure every fan got their money’s worth with two totally different setlists across two nights. Talk about keeping things fresh!

The stage setup was insane—giant LED cylinders surrounded the band, making it feel like you were in the middle of a metal hell wonderland. Throw in some epic pyrotechnics at Fuel and a light show that would make any festival jealous, and you’ve got yourself one unforgettable night.

The boys came out swinging from the moment they hit the stage with "Creeping Death," you could feel the electricity in the air. It was like stepping into a time machine and getting to experience Metallica at their peak, but with all the modern bells and whistles. They played everything from "Master of Puppets" to some newer pummeling tracks and even a Chicago-focused jam session between Kirk and Robert.

James Hetfield was in top form, his voice as raw and powerful as ever, while Kirk Hammett shredded those solos like it was 1986. Lars Ulrich kept the beat pounding, and Robert Trujillo’s bass lines were so heavy they practically shook the stadium.

In short, Metallica still knows how to throw one hell of a live show. If you haven’t seen them yet, do yourself a favor and get to a gig — once you become a member of the Metallica family you can never leave! And you won’t want to!
