(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Northwestern football fans have finally gotten their first look at where the Wildcats will play their home games for the 2024 season, as construction continues on the new Ryan Field.

The renderings, which officials said was subject to change, show what officials have dubbed "the Lakeside." True to its name, the field -- and specifically it's eastern sideline -- appear to be about 30 yards from the shores of Lake Michigan.

The field will be surrounded on four sides with seating. The largest seating structures will be located on the north and south end zones. The west sideline, which will be Northwestern's home sideline, will feature bleacher and club seating. The east sideline will have only bleacher seating.

Officials also unveiled the 2024 Northwestern football seating map, which shows that many of the seats will contain a "contribution" fee in addition to listed ticket prices. The most expensive seats have a ticket price listed at $1,299, with a contribution price of $1,750.

The seating contributions "work to enhance the lives of Wildcats student-athletes by providing the resources needed to compete and win championships," officials wrote.

There will be multiple options for season parking on campus, according to the university. Only select lots will be available for traditional tailgating, while others will be what officials described as "tailgate-friendly" lots that will have some restrictions for items such as open-flame cooking devices.

Season ticket holder pre-sales will be begin on June 10. On July 26, the university have a pre-sale for mini-plans and single-game tickets, if any are still available.
