CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago Police detectives are investigating a series of street robberies on the Northwest side overnight.
Four of the incidents occurred on Tuesday in a span of about 21 minutes at
Courtland near Whipple and Dickens near Whipple, Grand near Wood and Oakley near Wilmot. These incidents occurred between 11:09 p.m.- 11:30 p.m.
In each incident, two males exited a black SUV with guns and robbed people walking on the sidewalk, according to police.
The incident on Oakley near Wilmot was an attempted robbery. Police said the man who was targeted managed to run away.
The last robbery occurred at about 1:30 a.m. at McLean near Damen.
No one was injured in all five incidents. Area Five detectives are investigating each incident.
