Pop-up mask, PPE stores closing as state fully reopens

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Reopening means closing for some businesses.

When Anisa Ali opened her first Masks & More Outlet she said, “Who would have thought we’d see a store called Masks & More?” Then, two more stores followed, and she told CBS 2 she sold thousands of masks, but lately it’s been dead.

“We sold thousands of them,” she said. “Now, you know, maybe we’ll sell, you know, 10 a week...“It’s bittersweet. I mean, we’re actually very happy. It’s a celebration, because the times are changing. It’s getting better. It’s getting back to normal.”

She told CBS 2 nothing is really selling, except for vaccination card holders, and it’s time to close.

The Orland Park store already closed last month. The Tinley Park and Frankfort locations will close by the end of this month.
