Bears receiver Rome Odunze signs rookie contract
(670 The Score) Bears receiver Rome Odunze has officially signed his rookie contract, this coming Tuesday as rookies reported to Halas Hall for training camp.
The No. 9 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Odunze signed a four-year deal worth $22.7 million guaranteed and which has a fifth-year team option for the 2028 season. Details of Odunze's bonus structure weren't immediately clear.
With Odunze signed, the Bears' lone rookie who remains unsigned is quarterback Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
The reason for Williams' contract impasse hasn't been confirmed, though it's likely related to the structure of bonuses in the deal. Williams' base salary is set at $39.5 million over the course of a four-year deal.
The Bears' veterans are set to report to Halas Hall on Friday. The team's first practice is scheduled for Saturday.
