(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A semi hauling ham crashed early Friday morning in the southwest suburbs and has snarled traffic for a couple of hours already.
According to Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Smith, the semi was northbound on I-55 near Plainfield Road when it got involved in a crash with at least one other vehicle.
Sgt. Smith said the truck was carrying 36,000 pounds of ham.
None of the ham spilled onto the road, but fuel did, forcing lane closures that caused a four-mile back-up.
State police said one person suffered minor injuries and was taken to Bolingbrook Hospital.
