Shooting kills 1 and injures 2 others in Far South Side

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Three teenagers were shot on the South Side Sunday afternoon, killing one of them, according to Chicago Police.

The 16-year boy who died was shot nine times and died after he was transported to Christ Hospital.

A 17-year-old was shot eight times and was in critical condition. An 18-year-old was shot in his right arm and wrist, according to police.

Police say the shooting happened shortly after noon inside a home at 131st Street and South Corliss Avenue.

Detectives are talking with a person of interest. The shooting remains under investigation.
