
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Four suspects were arrested this week in connection with three Chicago-area expressway shootings, one of which dates back to 2022, Illinois State Police said.
The arrests were all made Tuesday. Police say the motorists charged are:
--Jervon Whitaker of Chicago, 26, who was linked to a road rage-related shooting Jan. 26 on I-94 at 47th Street. He was charged with attempted murder.
--20-year-old Malik Sutherland and Victor Ponce, 20, both of Buffalo Grove, for a Jan. 17 shooting on Illinois Route 53 and Lake Cook Road in Palatine. Both were charged with attempted murder.
Twenty-eight-year-old Byron Moore of Chicago, is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm for an expressway shooting on I-94 and Archer Avenue. This incident dates back to April 29, 2022, state police said.
