
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A teenager is hospitalized with life-threatening wounds after being stabbed in the Loop Thursday night.
Chicago police say a 17-year-old boy was stabbed by someone shortly after 10 p.m. near Madison and State Street in the heart of the Loop. He suffered wounds to his chest and back and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
There’s limited information at this point about what led up to the attack and who was responsible.
Police said the suspect took off and no one is in custody.
Scanner traffic indicated the attacker may have been part of a group of eight to ten men or young men.
