Michigan alums can find championship game tickets, but they won't be cheap, broker says

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Chicago area is home to a large number of graduates from the University of Michigan.

A local ticket broker is helping some of them buy tickets for the Wolverines’ showdown next Monday against the Washington Huskies in college football's national championship game.

Max Waisvisz of Gold Coast Tickets says he's having no problem finding tickets for the game in Houston.
The question, he said, is how much people will be willing to pay for them. He said an upper-level seat could cost in the neighborhood of $1,300.

If people want to sit closer to the action, Waisvisz said prices per ticket could approach $4,000.

For some Michigan alumni and fans, he adds, the chance to be at the game to watch the Wolverines play for the national title is worth it.
