CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The University of Chicago has announced a stay-at-home order in place for two weeks has been lifted and classes are resuming this week.
The most recent round of testing involving about 1,300 students showed just one positive case, following a post spring-break surge initially attributed to parties; and then reported as having come from multiple sources, including students unknowingly infected during spring break.
Classes and lab work resume on Thursday.
An email from the dean warns students about non-compliance, noting that “some students already have faced serious consequences, including dismissal from on-campus housing and referral to area discipline, for clear violations of requirements before and during the recent stay-at-home period.”
