A woman has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a man in January, in Auburn Gresham on the South Side.
Donna Howard, 48, was charged with a felony count of first-degree murder and attempted robbery, according Chicago police.
Phillip Von Goodwin, 53, was inside an apartment Jan. 11, in the 8000 block of South Union Avenue when someone opened fire outside around 7:30 p.m., Chicago police said.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his chest and pronounced dead, the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
Howard was taken into custody Thursday in the 5100 block of South Racine Avenue, after she was identified as someone involved with the shooting, police said.
