Woman shot in aftermath of 3-car crash on NW Side: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are trying to untangle a multi-pronged collision and shooting on Chicago's Northwest Side overnight.

The incident happened at about 1:45 a.m., at California and Wellington.

According to police, a Dodge Caravan was northbound on California when it hit two cars in the intersection, a stolen Honda and a Tesla.

Police said three occupants of the Caravan got out and started shooting at the stolen Honda. People then ran from the scene.

A 19-year-old woman who was walking on the sidewalk was hit in the torso and right shoulder by the gunfire. Police said she was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition.

Nobody is in custody.
