Zaxby's chicken is bringing a location to Plainfield. It will be the first Chicagoland location for Zaxby's.
The restaurant will be at Route 59 and 135th Street in a former Slim Chickens location. The restaurant is already being remodeled. It's expected to open this winter, though no specific date has been announced.
The Georgia-based chain says it plans to open several locations in Illinois.
