Blink marked their triumphant return with the release of their first single from their forthcoming, studio album. The new single "EDGING" has released nostalgia for many as it sounds similar to their most popular bodies of work from pre-2003.
“When people think about Blink, it’s from Enema of the State and it’s from Take off Your Pants and Jacket,” said Andy Greene while visiting Rolling Stone’s Music Now podcast. “It’s those two albums that define their legacy in a big way and they’ve resisted that sound for a very long time and this is kind of back to it.”
While there have been different variations of the band throughout the years, fans are excited to have these three come together after some scuffles and tragedies like Travis Barker’s plane crash and Mark Hoppus’ cancer battle.
“There’s an emotional connection to seeing a full lineup on stage, back together again,” said Greene. “The puzzle is complete and for the fans, it’s just much more satisfying.”
