Johnny Mars

A Chicago native with over 35 years at WXRT (21 as full-time night DJ; 14 as part-time weekend), Johnny can now be heard as the host of Saturday Morning Flashback, as well as Sundays and filling in for the other DJs.

Johnny is an avid music fan and concert-goer. It was his dream job to work for WXRT and Johnny arrived here in 1980 as a 22-year-old.
