When you hear the name Michael Vick, you probably have one of two thoughts..

..You think of the man who plays football or you think of the man who orchestrated one of the worst dog fighting rings and received a numerous charges of animal abuse (That's politely stating it).

Well since Michael Vick was chosen to serve as one of the Pro Bowl captains this year, he has been stirring up a lot of emotions from those who still do not support him..

A petition started on Change.org has gained a lot of momentum on social media, seeking to keep former NFL quarterback, and Pittsburgh Steelers backup, from being honored at the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl.

The petition with 258,129 signatures (and is literally growing by the second!) says, "To honor a man who had zero regard for animals is unacceptable.."
The creator, Joanna Lind, wrote that she "was absolutely disgusted" and asked the NFL to take "responsibility for the behavior of it's current and former players."

Vick served 18 months in prison in 2007 when he was found guilty of racketeering and running a dog fighting ring. Vick never served time for the brutal torture and killing of multiple dogs, including his own pet in front of his children.

The 2020 Pro Bowl takes place January 26th in Orlando at Camping World Stadium.

NFL officials have yet to comment on this petition or the animal rights groups that have expressed their disgust with the NFL's captain choice.
