The Impromptus are a Kittanning, Pennsylvania-based acoustic trio featuring Brian Shaffer (vocals/cajon), Chris Choncek (vocals/acoustic guitar), and Jeffrey Towers (vocals/electric guitar). Blending acoustic instrumentation, tight three-part harmonies, and seasoned musicianship, the group creates a rich, energetic sound that is both intimate and engaging. Each member brings years of performance experience from bands throughout the region, with Shaffer and Towers also contributing extensive recording experience. Collectively, they have shared the stage with artists including The Clarks, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Monkees, and many others.
