Kentucky police rescued a six-year old girl from a kidnapper’s car, and the moment was caught on emotional body camera footage released by the Louisville Police Department.
The child, whose name has not been released, had been taken while playing outside her home in Valley Station, Ken., on July 2.
The girl’s neighbor, Prentiss Weatherford, saw the incident while sitting on his porch. Weatherford and his father then got in their own car and followed Robbie Wildt, 40, and his red Dodge Charger. During the pursuit, they wrote down the last three digits of Wildt’s license plate.
Police caught up to Wildt in a driveway and arrested him without incident, rescuing the girl from the passenger seat.
Wildt has been charged with one count of kidnapping a minor.
His bond is set at $1 million.
