Karan Katyal spent his adolescent years struggling to understand who he was and how to identify himself. Growing up in a conservative family and community in New Jersey, Karan was far from learning about sexuality and the LGBTQ community. He always felt ‘different’ but didn’t know why, and didn't learn what was "different" about him until later in life.
