NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A girl stabbed an Uber driver in the chest during a dispute in New Rochelle, police said.

The girl was among two juveniles and two adults charged after the stabbing at North Avenue and Huguenot Street on Friday afternoon, according to police.

It all began when the Uber driver picked up five passengers at the New Roc City entertainment complex.

Police said an argument erupted between the driver and one of the girls. The driver stopped his vehicle and tried to get the passengers to leave when the dispute turned physical.

The second girl stabbed the driver in the chest twice, according to police, who said the driver was taken to Jacobi Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The five passengers fled on foot but were later stopped by police.

The two underage girls were charged with assault, police said.

Two other passengers—both men from the Bronx—were in possession of illegal handguns, including one who had a “ghost gun” with no serial number and a high-capacity magazine, police said.

The men, ages 18 and 20, face weapons charges, according to police.

Another man who was in the car was released “as he was not involved in the crime,” police said.
